Amanda “Lee” Powers, President

U.S. Air Force Veteran

With 15+ years of legal expertise, I bring unparalleled competence and proficiency in navigating the federal contracting process. My role at AVCOR is to ensure success by engaging in customer-based marketing, business growth & development, contract management, oversight of employees and regulatory compliance. I direct project staffing, project managing, budgeting for forecasted and contracted opportunities, and coordinate our labor force.

Chris Powers, Business Development/Estimator

U.S. Air Force Veteran

Within AVCOR, I primarily focus on estimation for all of our contracts and business development for both federal and commercial opportunities. I am also a licensed real estate broker, purchasing real estate for long- and short-term investment opportunities, as well as managing real estate assets throughout the acquisition, remodel, and disposition process.

Brandon Baker, Project Manager/General Superintendent

U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Air Force Veteran/ Retired

As a US Marine Corps and US Air Force Veteran/ Retired, my background includes Contract Officer Representative (COR) experience for construction projects within the US and abroad. I have my PMP from the Project Management Institute, as well as being Construction Quality Management for Contractors certified through US Army Corp of Engineers. I have been with AVCOR since January 2018, and have been the project manager and on-site superintendent for various projects with the federal government since.

Jackie Wengerd, Project Coordinator

U.S. Air Force Active Duty Spouse

I joined AVCOR in August 2019. I have experience with municipal construction planning and zoning, navigating federal government regulations, technical writing, as well as process improvement and continuity. At AVCOR, I focus on the requirements to gain new federal contracts, as well as the contract management and administrative functions necessary throughout the federal contract lifecycle. As recent transplant to the Little Rock, Arkansas area, I enjoy getting outdoors and seeing all that the Natural State has to offer!

Dennis Denson, Superintendent

Dennis has been with AVCOR since January 2020. His previous experience includes 25+ years of construction, steel erection, and framing experience. Dennis is OSHA 30 certified, as well as an AWS certified welder.

Francisco Reyes, Jr. Estimator/ Project Coordinator

U.S. Air Force Active-Duty Spouse

A registered architect in Ecuador, Francisco brings unrivaled experience in the development of sectors such as transportation, public space/ parks, multiuse facilities/ stadiums, as well as multi-family developments. Francisco is bi-lingual, in Spanish and English, OSHA 30 certified, and since August 2020, has been providing take-off estimating and submittals for a variety of AVCOR’s multi-scope project.

Jerod Harness, Project Manager

U.S. Air Force Veteran

Jerod joined AVCOR in October 2020 in the capacity of a Project Manager. Jerod brings 20 years of combined project management and superintendence experience. Jerod holds, ASHE Certification for Construction in Hospitals and OSHA 30 certification. For AVCOR, Jerod manages awarded projects, to include scheduling, safety, quality control, material data submittals, subcontractor security requirements, as well as on-site coordination of work for both AVCOR self-performance and our subcontractors

Alex Cohen, Superintendent/ Project Coordinator

U.S. Coast Guard Veteran

Alex has been with AVCOR since July 2020 and contributes to the AVCOR Team in a variety of ways including, bid management, estimation, scheduling, providing submittals, and attending pre-bid field evaluations/ site visits. Alex is an OSHA 30 certified project coordinator and on-site superintendent, providing effective communication between all stakeholders in each construction project he coordinate.
